Although
the name of my business has changed over the years, the aim has
always remained the same. To teach and encourage people how to
produce their own eggart heirlooms they can be justly proud of.
My first lesson in 1990 taught me the basic principals of how
to cut, hinge and line a goose egg to produce an elegant trinket
box, which I continue to share with my new students even today.
These instructions form the basis of our video CD, An Introduction
to Egg Artistry.
In 1996, Carole Wheaton (a former student) and I published our
first book on Egg Artistry titled 'Tis An Egg - Book One, which
we sold through our business Just Eggs-Ta-See. Today this book
is available worldwide.
After the success of the book we went on to produce a quarterly
magazine, called the Jets Eggspress and also a monthly instruction
sheet group called the Idea of the Month Club. The Idea of the
Month Club became the source of many interesting and varied techniques.
Following the sudden death of Carole's husband, Stan, in
1998 we went our separate ways but still sold copies of our book
through the business.
In 2000 I registered Diamond Innovations and I produced
my first e-book, called Bright Ideas and Facets of Egg Artistry,
on computer cd-rom. Although this was a vast departure from the
"normal" egg art book, the concept was well received,
as the information contained in the book was beneficial to both
the beginner and more experienced egger alike.
My husband, Roger & I have followed up on these teaching
areas with a number of step-by-step video cd-roms, which can be
viewed on your computer. Roger's expertise at video editing has
proved invaluable, making this a fun-learning medium, as you work
along with the video.
We hope you will take the time to visit our site at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/eggerspsp/
