Darlene Krowl was born and grew up in New York.
She now lives in the Pacific Northwest with her family. She is
basically a self-taught artist and has been fascinated with miniatures
throughout her life. Her miniature oil and acrylic paintings have
sold throughout the United States and Europe.
The creation of artistic eggs enables her to combine her artistic
and creative talents. Her work in the field of antique restoration
has influenced her in the use of old art techniques such as gold
leafing, moriage, and coraline, which is often used in the
process of her egg creations. Each egg is a time consuming task,
but every egg is a labor of love, and she finds the results very
rewarding.
